How Skulovo handles school and account data
Overview
Skulovo is a school operations platform. Schools use it for admissions, attendance, results, communication, payments, and other daily work.
When a school uses Skulovo, we process information so the platform can work properly and securely. In many cases, the school controls the records entered into its own account and decides which staff members can access them.
What we collect
Depending on how the platform is used, we may collect:
- account details such as names, email addresses, phone numbers, roles, and school affiliation
- school-managed records such as student profiles, class placement, attendance, results, fee records, pickup details, and parent or guardian contact information
- communication and operational records such as announcements, messages, audit logs, and admin actions
- technical data such as browser type, device information, IP address, app version, and system logs used for security and performance
How we use it
We use information to operate and support the service responsibly.
- to create and manage accounts
- to authenticate users and protect school access
- to provide the features a school has chosen to use
- to send verification codes, password resets, and service notices
- to monitor reliability, investigate problems, and prevent abuse
- to support backups, product maintenance, and customer support
Who we share with
We do not sell personal information. We may share data only when needed to run the platform or meet legal obligations.
- with infrastructure and service providers that support hosting, authentication, email delivery, analytics, or payment-related operations
- when required by law, regulation, court order, or a valid legal request
- when reasonably necessary to protect the security, rights, or safety of schools, users, or the public
Retention and security
We keep information for as long as it is needed to provide the service, support the school account, maintain records, and meet legal or operational obligations.
We use reasonable technical and organisational safeguards to protect data in transit and at rest. No system can promise absolute security, so schools should also manage permissions carefully and use strong login practices.
Students and school records
Student information is usually added by a school or guardian as part of normal school administration. Schools are responsible for making sure they have the proper authority to collect and enter that information.
If a parent or student wants a school-managed record corrected, the first point of contact will usually be the school, because the school controls those records inside its account.
Your choices
Users can contact their school administrator to update profile details, correct school-managed records, or request access support.
For privacy-related questions about the platform itself, email hello@yada.name.ng.
